Fun, witty, affectionate, loyal, & adventurous female. All bodily parts intact and in full working order (despite a few bumps and broken bits along the way).
I’m told I’m an optimist rather than pessimist, more of a " let's go and do it" girl rather than wait for "things to come to me” (unless it’s the AA and will definitely wait for them to come and change a flat tyre!)
I've lived in most parts of England but have been happily settled in Dorset for the past 13 years & love everything it offers. I spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors, finding new places to walk or just enjoying open spaces. Have waded through flood water when required (as can be seen in a photo taken as an arrived at my 60th) but prefer feeling the earth under my feet.
Come the autumn/winter months, lighting the fire, settling down with a good book, going to the cinema, enjoying nights in with friends putting the world to rights: good ways to enjoy the darker evening months. I’m very lucky to have great friends as neighbours …would just be good to have a plus one ;)
Currently working part-time so plenty of opportunity to explore new places/activities/hobbies… gave a retirement a go a few years back but didn’t quite get to grips with it.
I have two grown up kids and a young grandson. We’re comfortably close but don’t live in each other’s pockets (a tad challenging as one lives in Australia).
Not a massive list of “don’t likes” but poor manners, boastfulness, loss of consonants in words, fake Digestive biscuits …. Just a few of my non favourite things!

A guy who's comfortable in his own skin, open and always truthful (with no female skeletons lurking in a cupboard) and happy to affectionate…. Something rather lovely about hand holding or just catching that “you ok there? “ look. Easy going temperament, good conversationalist and lovely laugh…. And one final wish: it may sound a bit old fashioned but a guy who knows how to tie his own bow tie and can look dashing in something a tad formal when the need requires (but jeans and jumpers the rest of the time is just fine… as long as I can occasionally borrow the jumper if it’s nice).
Someone who is really fun to be with, doesn't take life too seriously, who can laugh out loud in the face of adversity (winter muddy walks being an example) or at a good film/when reading a book.
Bonus points awarded for : twinkly eyes, good laugh, able to make a Really good cup of tea, happy to go on muddy walks, can walk up a hill without getting puffed, and kick off the boots in exchange for shooting the breeze on a warm sunny evening.
