About him
I am a retired university educated professional who is looking for a like minded lady.
I like to think of myself as compassionate, warm and sensitive, with a good sense of humour - fun and laughter are important to me. I am a good conversationalist across a wide range of topics and keep up to date with the world, dispiriting though that has become in recent times. I read both fiction and non-fiction extensively; like music from blues, R&B, rock to classical; cinema (art house or foreign in preference to mindless pap) and theatre. I have a romantic side too and love touches, cuddles, caresses, kisses, candles and massages.
I have always liked travel (my work gave me plenty of opportunities) and it is something I continue to do in my retirement. I am quite fit having recently taken up running 10ks and half Marathons.
I always say that I am tall, dark and handsome but accept that the degree to which they apply will be decided entirely by you!
About his ideal match
My ideal partner – which does not rule anyone out – would be someone who is genuine and open, cultured, articulate, a good conversationalist and who has a mischievous sense of humour and, ideally, a twinkle in your eye. We will share so many values and interests, and especially that sense of humour, that we quickly become good and close friends, spending happy times together enjoying each other's company.
You will enjoy lunches, lazy afternoons and bucolic days out together. I hope you like weekends away, city breaks and short holidays here and abroad.

Hopefully this will lead to our meeting for coffee, a drink or a meal to see whether we really are as compatible as we hope we are, and see if we can kindle that elusive spark between us.
