About him
I have lived in two cultures (France for 20 years) and I am interested in absolutely everything. I have lots of questions but often no answers. I like hard work but I like to relax, when I do, on occasions, I love to hear the quiet. I can be clumsy but I love to dance rock roll. I am patient beyond belief but have a lack of patience with people who have none.
A book can move me to tears. I find solutions for almost anything, but realise sometimes I am the problem. I am not artistic but I have created. Most of the time I am an optimist, although just occasionally I need someone to put their hand on my shoulder and just tell me to 'buck up'. I defend family to the point of oblivion, but it's a place I try never to go to. I am not religious but pray to the 'small gods' (Terry Pratchett).
Seriously: I like to cook, long walks, DIY, travelling, a vintage comedy, topical discussion. My favourite books, apologies in advance, are sci-fi and fantasy. Music: Queen, Springsteen, Bowie, Meatloaf, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift (yes, I know, just a little
weird).
So, why am I here? Good question! I am better as part of a couple, joint goals, achieving together. I miss that sense of 'we', 'us'. I also need someone who can tell me, when it needs doing that 'I'm an idiot' or I need to change something or maybe a direction. I miss bouncing ideas around.
I am by no means perfect and I'm not looking for perfect!

I'm not sure there is one! I am not fixed in my ways, I adapt. So, I guess I am looking for someone who wants to adapt as well.
A strong sense of humour is primordial. Someone who understands give and take, progressing together. Someone who (not literally) wants a partner 'in crime'.
Someone who thinks 'we' is just better than 'me'.
