I'd consider myself a fairly easy-going, amiable sort of person who approaches life in a very positive way and whose default is always to try to see the good in others.. Among other things I love all aspects of the outdoors, dining out, the theatre, visiting historic places (I'm a National Trust member) and travelling. After a major setback in my life a few years ago I've worked very hard to widen my circle of friends and probably have more now than I've ever had. I just lack that one very special person because whether we like it or not there's no denying that the world is geared to couples and it can feel quite uncomfortable sometimes being a lone male.

Someone very much like me really I suppose, a girl next door sort of lady probably who's as happy in jeans and wellies as in a skirt and heels. It would be nice if she shared my interests, especially the outdoors, but life's about give and take and I am very open to getting involved in new activities. Empathy, humour, fidelity and a fairly relaxed approach to life are all qualities that I value in a partner. A deal breaker is smoking. Sorry.
