About him
I'm an honest, caring, loving and trustworthy person who is deeply loyal to those I love and cherish. I'm predominantly an outdoor person having done quite a lot of pretty serious mountain walking in the past mainly confined to Britain, but nowadays more comfortable on the beautiful Lakeland Fells or in the Yorkshire Dales. I also love coastal scenery and walks along sandy (or shingle) beaches with a warm breeze and the sound of waves crashing along the shoreline. I enjoy camping in fine weather although it can also be exciting when the rain and wind is battering the tent!
I really enjoy playing tennis, cycling and my local parkrun so yes, I do like to keep fit and active. To relax I'm happy to chill out at home with a beer or glass of wine to watch TV or a movie. For holidays I absolutely love the Greek Islands and Italy (Tuscany especially) having visited both countries many times. My dream is to tour Europe for a couple of months in a nice, reliable well-equipped VW camper. When holidaying in Britain I prefer off season cosy cottage breaks with log fires in the Dales or The Lakes only because i currently live closer to those areas. I will be re-locating to the Cambridgeshire area in the early part of 2026.
I've always kept Black Labradors which I love, although without at the moment. My outlook on life, as I embrace current changes in my life, is to find a soulmate, best friend and lover to share the rest of our lives together.

My ideal match would be a loving, compassionate, empathetic, fun-loving, adventurous, resourceful, sincere, honest, genuine, kind and patient partner with of course with a good sense of humour. Someone who can see the funny side of things.
I would like to share the activities mentioned with my partner, however equally I would love to share in their special interests be it Sunday markets, Antique fayres, art, museums, concerts, gigs, theatre, opera? yoga, paddle boarding, trekking in the Himalayas! I am very open-minded and looking to expand my interests and experiences. I should warn you though I've given up on discos and nightclubs. A nice authentic Italian, Greek or Indian restaurant is more my thing nowadays.
