About him
I guess I could be/am considered to be old school, I like to treat a lady as a lady. I'm a private sort of guy, with a fairly small group of close friends. Born in Yorkshire, I moved with my family to the South Coast in 1987. Having had a successful career in technology, now retired, I have lots of hobbies and interests which I enjoy.
I keep fit & healthy by exercising regularly and eating well. In my mind, age is just a number and I feel little different now to how I did 25 years ago.
I was married for over 45 years, widowed over 2 years ago and I have 2 married daughters and 5 lovely grandchildren.
I feel comfortable dressing up or dressing down to suit the occasion and can attempt occasional dancing, having a wide range of musical tastes.
Days can be very varied, I do some exercise at home most days and typically will go on a couple of 5+ mile walks most weeks, together with playing golf twice a week (often badly) and table tennis (not ping pong!).
I have a fairly large garden which I try to keep under control (need help!) and I normally have a project (DIY or Car) that takes up some of my "spare" time, as well as spending time with my family and being out playing trumpet or cornet 3 evenings a week. I usually need more hours in the day!
On holiday, I equally love exploring new interesting places and lazing by a pool soaking up the vitamin D.

I enjoy travel, having been to many parts of the world for pleasure as well as on business, with my favourite place being a close call between The Maldives and Alaska.

I am hoping to find someone with similar values and interests, someone who feels comfortable dressing up and dressing down, someone I can spend quality time with, sharing more and more in the future, although I can't currently imagine ever living with someone again.
