About him
Outgoing albeit slightly shy at first and consider myself an optimistic person. I am a retired chartered engineer and now carry out volunteering work for local charities which I really enjoy.
I enjoy walking (often combined with visiting historical or natural sites), swimming, and gardening although I'm not very good at it! And a little dabble at photography, also not very good! I also enjoy listening to music (most genres) and reading.
For fun and relaxation in addition to the above I enjoy meeting up with friends for lunch, dinner and a few drinks. Likewise with my son and daughter.
My outlook on life is very open and take each day as it comes. I have spent many years living and working overseas and am now enjoying this marvelous country, with the occasional trip overseas.

I am looking for someone who shares some similar interests to me but that's not essential. I value honesty, integrity and empathy in a person. And a friendly and happy demeanor!
I would like to meet an outgoing person who is fun to be around and would enjoy day's out as well as a pub/cafe/restaurant atmosphere.
Any tip's on gardening or photography would also be most welcome!
I can't think of a deal breaker except a heavy smoker.
